Design Mulliner Bentley S1 Special Drophead
This beautiful car is a Bentley Special Drophead Coupé S1 from 1955. Launched in 1955 the Bentley S1 and the Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud were virtually identical with exception of grille and badging details. The standard steel Saloon fulfilled the company’s commercial requirement but not necessarily those of its customers, so English coachbuilders were offering bespoke coachwork for those who preferred more elegance and exclusivity. This open top S1 follows the design concept of Mulliner, using the standard steel bodies aparted to convertible design. Car is equipped in steel body shell, adaptation and strengthened to 2-door convertible configuration, aluminum doors and boot lid, fully lined double duck hydraulically retractable hood, stainless steel front and rear bumpers, all other bright chrome-plated, interior leather upholstered, high quality close woven carpets, veneered dashboard and door cappings and lovely picnic tables. Tinted and laminated and electrically operated side windows. A very beautiful example to be part in any classic rally or oldtimer event, has FIVA card and has been a participant in certain classic car events. Further details, price and information certainly on request!
